Lenovo Rilis Konsol Seharga $600 di China

Tahukah kamu kalau China melarang Sony, Microsoft, dan Nintendo untuk menjual konsolnya di negeri itu?

Lenovo, raksasa teknologi China, berencana merilis konsol baru untuk mengisi kekosongan pasar di China. Konsol ini bernama Eedoo CT510 Gamebox yang memiliki kemampuan pengendalian bebas kontroler, seperti halnya Kinect untuk Xbox360.

CT510 ini dulunya dikenal dengan nama eBox dan iSec. Versi terbaru ini akan memiliki CPU dual-core, HDD storage 250GB, 3D GPU, dan pre-installed delapan game dan sepuluh aplikasi. Yang menarik, harga konsol ini dipatok 3.799 yuan atau setara dengan $600.

Biasanya produk asal China dijual dengan harga yang sangat terjangkau. Pengumuman harga Eedoo  CT510 yang dijual lebih mahal dari Xbox 360 ini memang membuat saya terheran-heran.

Coba kita bandingkan: Meski diban, konsol Xbox360 + Kinect selundupan (bukan garansi resmi) dijual di China seharga $460. Sedangkan kompetitornya, CT510 ini dibandrol dengan harga $600. Ugh, apakah kita tidak melihat pertarungan yang berat sebelah?

Lenovo telah merilis CT510 pada tanggal 25 April lalu. Jangan harap ada game Mass Effect 3 atau Skyrim di konsol ini.

C. Custer, founder ChinaGeeks.org melakukan survey di beberapa toko di Beijing. Dari tujuh toko elektronik dan game yang didatanginya, tidak ada satupun yang menjual konsol ini.

Shopkeeper: “The what?”

C.Custer: “The CT510.”

Shopkeeper: “Do you mean CD? We have some CDs.”

C.Custer: “No, the CT510, it’s the domestic game console that just came out. It used to be called the iSec.”

Shopkeeper: “Oh… no. We don’t have that. I haven’t heard of that.”
