LG Series III is Launched in Indonesia, More Complete with LG L80

LG confirms L Series III during the Mobile World Congress 2014 in last mid February 2014. At that time, what written in the list were L90, L70, and L40 which target mid to low market. However LG doesn’t hesitate to insert high class features for the L Series III. Besides Knock On a la LG G2, it also directly performs Android 4.4 Kitkat. The highest variant, L90 already exists in several European countries since last March, and in Indonesia those three were just launched last week. However what makes us to question is together with the third launch of L Series III, LG Mobile Indonesia also mentions other L Series III, LG L80 which is also offered as dual SIM smartphone.

Among the L Series III, only L80 whose body form looks more rectangular compared to L40, 70, and L90. Because of screen dimension, it’s clearly that the size becomes the biggest.[/caption]

Specification details and the third L Series III feature have been written through our previous article. For L80 which we can estimate from the number “80” on the name, is positioned between 70 and L90. The whole features are the same but what’s interesting here is that L80 which proposes the biggest screen. The area is 5 inches but with WVGA resolution or 480 x 800-pixel or not as dense as L90 which has qHD 540 x 960-pixel resolution. The processor is only dual core, with 1.2GHz, or equal with L70.

The same with other sibling, directly performs Android 4.4 KitKat, and what the writer likes the most is to bring Knock ON feature to build L80 on the standby condition with two taps on the screen. Also the same with other L Series III which is also applied on LG G Pro 2, the feature which is called Knock Code by LG, new customization option to wake up the smartphone from standby condition with several taps on the screen and creates 80 thousand combination.

Other features are the 5-megapixel camera, combined with VGA secondary camera, battery capacity is equal with L90, that is 2,540 mAh, and one unique feature specialized in this type, which is called Plug & Pop. That feature is called unique because this feature makes L80 has intuition to recommend some features which can be accessed every time the user connect L80 with earphone or data cable. If L40, L70 and L90 by LG Indonesia is planned to be offered on this end of April 2014 in Indonesia with price estimation starts from IDR 1 million to 2.9 million, L80 is predicted will arrive May 2014, with price estimation IDR 2.5 million. It’s not known yet whether LG Indonesia will provide single SIM variant or not. However, as other L Series for the single SIM will have physical button under the screen, not only four capacitive buttons.
