Dengan ditayangkannya The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, saga panjang dunia Middle-earth akan usai sudah. Untuk mengiringi akhir saga panjang Middle-earth ini, sebuah lagu dinyanyikan oleh Billy Bold (memerankan Peregrin "Pippin" Took). Lagu yang berjudul "The Last Goodbye" ini akan dilantunkan pada credit scene dari film The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Konon, lagu ini dibuat setelah Billy Boyd menonton film The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Billy bersama  Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, dan Philippa Boyens menulis “The Last Goodbye,” dan merekamnya di Wellington studio, Selandia Baru.

Memang Billy Bold tidak bermain pada trilogi The Hobbit, namun ia beberapa kali menyanyikan lagu pada saga Middle-earth. Salah satu lagu yang dinyanyikannya adalah "Edge of Night," yang menjadi lagu pengiring trailer The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
