Eremidia: Dungeon!, Crossover RPG Made in RPG Maker Indonesia!

If we heard someone said “crossover game”, the first thing that comes to our mind is a game that gathers several characters from several different games. Marvel vs Capcom for example, in this game Marvel superheroes will duel with characters from Capcom’s franchise, such as Resident Evil. And now Enthrean Guardian with RPG Maker Indonesia (RPG Maker ID) wanted to bring this crossover concept to life by developing a dungeon crawler RPG called Eremidia: Dungeon! that was released several days ago.

If you followed RPG Maker Indonesia and its games growth and activities in recent years, you must be familiar with names such as Razh Avandrey from Eternal Grace, Vent McGraves from Wandering Brawler, Villeta Nightwish from Violet Rose, to Ashen from Cruna Aktrid. These characters and several others will have a ‘reunion’ in a game that was also developed using RPG Maker VX. “Enthrean Guardian saw a remarkable potential from RPG Maker Indonesia’s crews who wish to create a game that can become widely know where the Original Character (OC) they created can have a duel in one game. That’s why we create a special team led by Riyan Wijaya to develop a game adopting unique and interesting OCs from RPG Maker Indonesia.” said Jasson Pretiliano, CEO of Enthrean Guardian and one of the founding fathers of Eremidia: Dungeon!, to Duniaku.net. “This game was inspired by dungeon crawling games with a crossover concept since the characters are taken from RPG Maker Indonesia members’ creation.” Om Jas, as he often referred as, added.

In this game, your character is a chosen soldier that was given a mission to help King Dnas XIII that was turned into a frog because of a curse. To cure the king and bring peace back to Grace Island, you and the king should explore the dungeon to chase the Dark Scripters and Magas, the cause of all these problems. Along the game, you will be accompanied by several characters that can be summoned from several books from different era and story.

At the beginning of the game, you will be accompanied by four heroes from four different stories. As the game progresses, you can gather heroes from other stories with various characteristic, skill, and background story. As of now, there are 17 heroes that you can get along the game. The duel system of the game is using turn-based mechanism, but with a unique improvised battle system called Timed-Hit system. When your turn comes, you can attack your enemy using standard attack or your special skill.

During the attack, the Timed-Hit system will work where there will be a notification above your character. When the notification appears – in a very short time – you can push Z button to add damage level of your attack.

During your enemy’s turn to attack, this notification will also appear above your character. If you push Z button when the notification appears, the damage received by your character will be reduced to half. Different with attacking, utilizing skill or using item will not end your turn. Thus, you can combine standard attack with skill or item in one turn.

The monsters you will face also has their own strength and weaknesses so it’s not guaranteed that a character you brought in your party can be effectively used to fight all monsters that you will have to deal with. This increased the game’s complexity and makes the players be more careful in preparing the party that they will use in a particular dungeon. Eremidia: Dungeon! also serves as the documentation for characters from games developed by RPG Maker ID where you can learn about the background story and the original game of each character. This game also has a Rune system and very interesting upgrades. Every upgraded weapon has its own pathway and every upgrade level has a specific name.

Eremidia: Dungeon! itself was planned to be a continuous and big-scaled project.“ This is just the beginning, we currently working on the sequel, light novel, even other games about Eremidia.
