After months of waiting, finally on 9 January 2014 on Ritz-Carlton Hotel Ballroom, Pacific Place Jakarta Sony officially release their latest console, Playstation 4 (PS4), in Indonesia. True to Playstation 4’s tagline, Greatness Awaits, this launching event – started after lunchtime –finished successfully. The event was opened by a speech by Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia, Hiroyuki Oda and Head of Marketing Division Sony Indonesia, Hiroshi Sakai. Other than explains what are the great features await in PS4, Oda also announced an interesting fact about this game console. By 28 December 2013, PS4 sold 4.2 million units, making it the highest-selling game console worldwide, he claimed.
The closing of the event was marked by the doorprize awarding.Three lucky gamers that previously pre-ordered PS4 each presented a Playstation Vita TV and free subscription of Playstation Plus for 10 years while three lucky guests awarded two PS Vita TVs and a PS4.
